Was Not Approved For Life Insurance On My Car

In December 2007, the Friday before Christmas, I was in a car accident. I was hit by a semi truck and it totaled my car. Autopac would not approve our claim and we had to surrender the car to them.

Because of this, we went to get a new one in January 2008. We could not have done this sooner because we had to wait for Autopac to let us know if they would pay for repairs.

Bear had his surgery on January 2nd, 2008. This was the original surgery to remove the lump off his chest, which at this time we thought was just a fat pocket. It was not until a few weeks later that we were informed that the biopsy found cancer.

So, in between the day he had his surgery and the day we found out he had cancer, we got our new car (van).

And so because he "was diagnosed with liposarcoma prior to purchasing this policy" we are not approved.

The thing is... that's not the truth!!!

He wasn't diagnosed with liposarcoma until later!!

They said he had the surgery and the biopsy was to confirm liposarcoma! But that's not how it was at all! He had the surgery thinking it was just a fatty pocket. The doctors sent it for biopsy as routine.... they do that with any mass that is removed from the body that is not normally there.

If I could hear on the phone, I would phone them right now and give them a peace of my mind.

you've got my email about this. I say fight but it's going to take effort.

I know it's hard to muster the effort right now, but i think you should. I know, easy for me to say, I'm not the one doing it, right

Speaking of making an effort... I need to find an eveing to come over and help you go through your box of stuff to do!!!!

you have to fight this t. right now it's hard b/c it's so new and raw. but you know what was done and why and so do the dr's. they should have it in b's records that it was removed b/c it was unusual but didn't know it was cancer until later. if they did know it was cancer, they sure has hell would have done something sooner.
i hate insurance companies! they suck!
hope you can get some help with this all so you don't have to use ttd.
(hugs)

Give me their number... *I* can hear on the phone just fine and I'll give them a piece of MY mind AND a pieceo or YOURS!

Could the doctor maybe write a letter with the explanation of the timeline??

I agree... you do need to muster the strength to fight this. It's crazy!

Good luck!

You definitely have lots of friends (myself included) who would be more than happy to be your interpreter on the phone so you can straighten them out!! Their information is incorrect and they need to fix it. They owe you that money. Let us know!! (((HUGS)))
