Will Smith Spoke To Me

I had the television tuned in the Oprah show, but I was not really watching it. I had gone out of the room to let my dog outside and to get myself a drink, when I came back to hear Will Smith speaking in words that seemed to be specifically for me.

I stayed up late tonight because I knew the show would repeat, and I wanted to catch it again. I taped the section in which he was speaking these words and again I felt although he was speaking directly to me.

After stopping, rewinding and playing the tape many times to write out the quote, I think I finally got it all. If you spot an error, please let me know.

Will Smith was speaking about his upcoming movie Seven Pounds. He says the movie is about loss, and how one reacts to loss. To elaborate, he said the following words:

"We think of things in a straight line: Birth, Life, Death, right? And then, you know, you died, it's over. And it's like, it's not really how it works. You take those ends and you bend it into a circle and it's Birth, Life, Death, Rebirth, right? So, you have to be prepared when you lose something, when you go through a divorce, when your mother dies, when you lose your house, you have to understand that nature has no other way. There is a rebirth. The death is painful. It doesn't change the pain of the death, but you got to stay awake and stay focused for what's the rebirth God is about to offer you."

Powerful stuff, don't you think? Wow.

Gave me chills!

I'll be blogging a quote I heard that Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower said (although I didn't hear it from his lips like you did with Will Smith).

BTW.... Will Smith is HOT! :)
